The reason I think that we should get on the computers for the online journal and blog please blog. The reason why I do not want to use the computer is because sometimes it is just boring on the computer. An important example of why we should write sometimes is because some of us cannot write really good so when we go to middle school the teachers don't say "Mr.McGuire did not teach you how to write!!Well this is my opinionAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6684639278116003661.post-13750219200898560572008-12-02T07:45:00.000-05:002008-12-02T07:45:00.000-05:00Clix,We have a desktop computer for each student i...Clix,

We have a desktop computer for each student in our language arts classes. Originally I just wanted a few computers for word processing, but I kept finding new uses and needed more machines. Luckily I had a supportive administrator, and we found low-budget machines.Mr. McGuirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02922744477241266679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6684639278116003661.post-66371953323235778632008-12-01T17:51:00.000-05:002008-12-01T17:51:00.000-05:00Does your class take place in a computer lab? or, ...Does your class take place in a computer lab? or, how do students get regular access to computers?Clixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04460380696875928585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6684639278116003661.post-10311484560702840132008-12-01T08:24:00.000-05:002008-12-01T08:24:00.000-05:00Sara,Thank you for the comment. I am interested in students' responses to the poll about whether or not they like doing it online.

We had a weekly reading log too, and it was a pain for students to keep up with, and for me to check.Mr. McGuirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02922744477241266679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6684639278116003661.post-33205106740802847132008-11-30T22:43:00.000-05:002008-11-30T22:43:00.000-05:00I teach 5th and 6th grade and have checked out you...I teach 5th and 6th grade and have checked out your students reading logs a couple of times. I have been thinking about my student's reading logs. I had a weekly form that they filled out and turned in to me. I felt that that system was not working well since students were misplacing it or forgetting to fill it out etc. Plus there was no spot for me to respond to their thoughts. I passed out spirals last week. I planned on collecting them a couple at a time. I like your idea of the response logs being a wiki. Then I can respond to them without carrying them around. Plus your wiki logs have an added bonus, your students can respond to their classmates logs. Wonderful. Keep it up. SaraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
